  • Selling my 1939 Coupe Express, details....

    http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/e...g?t=1332487520

I am including above some photos of the '39 Coupe Express I am selling. I bought it in California 2 years ago and had a friend of mine out there get it running. It is pretty complete but needs a total restoration. Of course it could be turned into an around town driver pretty easily. The most critical needs are the bed floor and the tail gate (no rust but just dented). Both have been reproduced and are available. The seat is not original. As you will note I have put 1940 seal beams in it and also 1940 grilles. The original '39s come with the truck. I drove it some last fall but the rf wheel cylinder needs attention and of course it also needs new glass. A project for sure but rare and worth the effort. I know of three that have sold in excess of $80,000, one over $100,000. I am asking $15,000 for this one. It is stored in Mishawaka, Indiana right next door to South Bend. Let me know if you need additional information.

39-40 the most beautiful design ever made in my opinion. Wish I could afford it!

Arrrrgh. I want one. Now to see how I can free up some $. The CE in Calgary that didn't get a bid would have cost me at least $1500 to ship, and I'm going to SB anyways. There's 10%. I'm sure I'll have the money by the time the Int'l meet gets here, but will the truck still be available? Sweet anguish. Ya got me thinking, again.

YOU'RE KILLING ME !! I just spent the last few days talking myself out of buying the K series, now you post this. A CE has long been my dream truck and that certainly seems like a reasonable price on a real truck. I also wanted the one in BC but shied away from importing it, and it was a MAJOR project. Good Luck with the sale, Steve

At that price it should sell readily, a good buy.

That is probably the best deal on a Coupe Express we will ever see again in our lifetimes.

I'm not sure what it is, but there's just something about the lines of this model that's very appealing. If I weren't up to my eyeballs in my P.H. restoration, I'd jump on this one in a second.

I'm with you Mike. I just sold my 47 M so I could buy the interior for my Hawk. This would be a great investment. So many cars - so little money

                        Holy Crap!

The stars are aligned in your favor. You mean you haven't got a check on the way to Richard yet? What're you waiting for?! My wife would get to, "You know I think we should bu.....," and I'd be sprinting to the bank before she changed her mind.

All of time! Cathy is usually proding me to buy a car or bid higher. I am the one with restraint.
This sounds like a good deal for someone that wants a CE, not me.

                              The MegaMillions is up to $250 million. I had a winning ticket yesterday - - - - for $10.
