  • Studebaker US6 story in Military History magazine...

In the May issue of Military History there's a one page story on the Studebaker US6. It shows four different configurations it was used in...cargo and troop transport, water/fuel tanker, tractor style to haul semi-trailers and a Soviet adapted version as a rocket battery. There were more versions but it has illustrations showing those four.

The story itself is short, but mentions Studebaker built it in thirteen variations. It states most were sent to the Soviets under Lend-Lease and makes mention (almost as an afterthought) of its use during construction of the Alcan Highway and the Burma Road.

Not a big story but still...any publicity is good.
Poet...Mystic...Soldier of Fortune. As always...self-absorbed, adversarial, cocky and in general a malcontent.

To me, any story about Studebakers is BIG. Thanks for the info.
