Shameless plug. The proceeds will go towards my '57 wagon wheel and tire fund.

    R Series Fog Lights

Wait a minute... those look like 1950 2R-16A Schoolbus Fog Lights!

They would never look right on an ordinary 2R5 Pickup! <GG>

Rich, I think they'd look good on most any 2R.

Would they not work on "any" C-Cab?

They will not mount exactly as planned on the 3R and E models, as the 54-55 grille sticks out farther and has ridges that will hit the back of the fog lamps. Nevertheless, I was able to mount them on my 3R by moving the lights slightly and making a new template that adjusted the angle of the mounting brackets that bolt to the bumper.

Sounds like I have a pretty sweet birthday present waiting for me in July, eh...?

I had figured that some innovation on the mounts would have to be made to accommodate the grilles in the later trucks. Were there any Factory fog lights made specifically for the '54 and up trucks? I think I have an accessories pamphlet for the '55 trucks but don't exactly remember where it is at the moment.

No. The parts book lists fog lights as being available for the 2R trucks only. I think the 2R fog lights were similar to those that were optional on cars of that period, but with different mounting backets made to bolt to the truck bumpers. In 55, the optional fog lights for cars were built into the bumper guards, so no fog lights were offered for the trucks.
