  • Koni Shocks from York Swap

I found a set of Koni Shocks at York that I am thinking of selling. I've heard there are no better shocks for your high performance Studebaker. These are brand new shocks that will fit your Avanti, GT Hawk or Lark project. Interested parties can Private Message me.

    Thanks Allen

Sorry guys, I have decided to keep the shocks for our Lark convertible project. I found that shipping them from Canada is absolutely ridiculous to the tune of about $45.00.

Those international shipping rates to foreign countries are a pain, huh?

You won't regret keeping them. The '63 R-2 4-speed Avanti I had some years ago was ordered with everything HD. Owner didn't care for the HD Gabriels and replaced them with Konis. Absolutely the best-handling Studebaker I ever owned (fast manual steering, HD springs).

I gave up trying to find a decent Studebaker-ready shocks to fit my Hawk and adapted a set of KYBs designed to fit '70-'81 Cameros. They work perfectly, I've never hit the limits on them while driving and they handle very well. They also prevent the problem with the rear brake center hose stretching taut when I put it up on the lift. You could no doubt adapt a set of Konis from the same app. I have bought several new sets of "heavy duty" gas shocks made specifically for Studebaker and they were junk, took them off after only a couple thousand miles.
