    I have never had a strong passion for post WWII Studebakers (at least insofar as ownership) but if I were to own one I think I would prefer a '50 Commander Starlight or convertible. Incidentally anyone care to add a caption to this photo as to what the prospect was saying to the salesman as he looked at the "bullet?"

                For your possible interest I sent Tom Shrock in PA some original lucite "bullets" that fit in the end of those fender ornaments on the '50 Commander and Land Cruiser and he has replicated them.
                Anyone interested can contact Tom or Dave at ShrockBrothers@penn.com or see their website at: http://www.shrockbrothers.com/studeb...ion_parts.html They do not have this particular part listed on their site yet but it is available. They do exceptional work.

                    how much for the optional "jet thrust" engine and folding wings?

                            1963 Studebaker Daytona Hardtop with no engine or transmission
                            1950 Studebaker 2R5 w/170 six cylinder and 3spd OD
                            1955 Studebaker Commander Hardtop w/289 and 3spd OD and Megasquirt port fuel injection(among other things)

                              Both cars are in the showroom, but I'm still a little surprised to see all those whitewalls! (in '50)
