  • If You Are Looking for a Warm Weather Car Show....

...you might want to consider the one below in the country's warmest city. There will be at least three Studes there, Denny Lockmon's, Frank Van Doorn's, and ours.

green53 and ourselves are all signed up! Sure is an impressive lineup of bands. This will be the first long distance run into the desert for our 52 Commander. Looking forward to meeting up with you guys.

Don't let that item about going to a car show, fool you! They are actually going to the annual "Yuma camel races", which are held during the same time frame! I hear a certain Hadji Ali (aka: Hi Jolly), from Quartzite, AZ., is the top camel driver this year! But enjoy the car show too, if you can tear yourselves away from the race track, in Winterhaven, CA!

For those of you who don't know Glen, he is the master of tongue-in-cheek comments. Actually the camel races are held the day before the car show.

If my Studebaker breaks down somewhere in the aforementioned desert, heaven forbid, I may have to enlist one of those camels to tow me the rest of the way! <G>

We may have to recycle some of that camel dung and convert it into high octane fuel for our Stude's. Come over and see us Kmac. It is only $3 or $4 to get in to see the car show.

                  Denny,
You going to be at the show? With your car in your sig line?
Do you have assigned parking spots there or is it first come first serve?

I'm not bringing the 53 this year. I will have the 40 President Club Sedan street rod. Frank & I will probably be parked with some Chevelle guys at the back of the field.
