    The T98 4-speed was strong enough to live in commercial big trucks. A Stude pickup will never wear one out. The original T98 from my '55 E12 is still perfect after fifty-seven years. Your results may vary.

    If it has been where no water could get in, drain, change lube and frt. and rear seals. Just check the lube when you drain, to see if there are slivers. Good to go.

    reputation of T-98 4 speeds ?

    Are they known to be long lasting,kinda go for ever / or ?I have one that My Father got in 76 from a Champ parts truck.put it in a 63 Champ drove about 5 years,then sat about 7 years.then put it in a 57 Transtar,drove it about another 7,8 years.and has been doing nothing for last 15 years or so,was wondering if I could just use pretty much as is,as before ?
