  • 1937 Fire Truck model finished

A while back I posted in stove huggers that I was building a model of a 1937 fire truck. Here it is, done.

Very nice, there is alot of imagination there.
Is that a 1/18th scale die cast?
Someday I might try something like that when I get time.

Yes, it's a 1/18 scale truck. All I really did to it was take it apart, remove the original bed, make a new bed, and go from there. The bed is all Oak with an aluminum skin and polished aluminum corners and the step. The suction hoses were just rubber hose that I had and the soft line hoses are actually boot laces that I put nozzles that I made on. It took a little thinking to make, but it turned out OK.
