  • 50-51 gravel guards - shameless plug

I restored a pair of these for a forum member. Mailed them off without insurance, and he failed to get them. I had another pair on the shelf, restored those, and sent them to the customer and took it as a loss. (Brad, the replacements were just finished and mailed out, FYI).

Thought they were gone for good, but the first ones were returned to my door step.

Someone must need them. I could use the $$..

Absolutely SHAMEless. You should be aSHAMEd of your self. It is a crying SHAME you would do this.
        LOL.

About the only 2 things I have $425 in to on my truck is buying it and registering it. But then again I do not have much of a "looker" with chrome and polished SS. I bet those will look nice on some members Bullet nose.

Not too long ago, Matt rehabbed a pair of these that I'd had layin' around here for years. Of course, with his practiced touch, they were better than new. They snagged $550 when the bidding was done!

You learned a lesson about postal insurance the easy way. As much as I trust the Postal Service to handle my packages, I would never even think about mailing something valuable without insurance. Too many things CAN go wrong. Glad it worked out for you.

This was the first time I'd ever had anything like that happen. Lesson learned! At least it ended well.

StudeBob, those I restored for you were the first ones I'd ever done. And I've gotten better at 'em. <grin>

I always put insurance on everthing Ive Shipped. Lost one restored 1950 Stude antenna. They broke another in shipping. I was paid for both losses.
