Classic 1933 Studebaker in INDIA!

I ran across this car on a web site devoted to classic era cars in INDIA! The car is a 1933 6 cylinder convertible sedan, a very rare body style to survive any where in the world. What makes this one special is it is the car driven by the assasin who murdered Indian leader Mahatma Ghandi. If you browse the "team-bhp.com" web site it is surprising how many Studebakers survive in India and are collectable there. They don't have a rust problem it seems as so many are still solid vehicles.

Hi,
there was a picture in on of the UK magazines, Classic and Sports car or the like about 20 years ago that had a picture of a derelict but wonderfully restorable 33 President Convertible sedan in the background of an old ruling families garage.

Like anything, I just think things are unusual now as no matter how rare you think something is, another on always turns up somewhere.

You never know where a machine will turn up. A few years ago I was walking down a street in Saigon, window shopping. I almost left skidmarks when I spotted a motorcycle in the window of a ladies clothing boutique. It was an absolutely mint condition Harley Davidson XA. Anyone who knows about obscure Harley lore would be shocked to find one anywhere, much less in Saigon.

Didnt the American Picker's guys pull an XA frame out of someones yard in one episode? Maybe it was different, but sure looks close to it..
