  • Need a picture of the "trunk" area of a '61 Lark Regal station wagon...

    Hey guys,

So, supposedly, in '61; there was stainless strips in the carpet of Lark Regal station wagons, in the "trunk" area of the car. Not just in the tailgate, but actually continuing that pattern on the floor. Does anyone have a photo of that?

Better yet, does anyone HAVE those? I'd kinda like a set for a project I'm doing, before I just make them myself, haha!

It looks like no Stainless was used on '61 Floors/Tire Covers.

My Broadmoor has stainless on the floor of the cargo area, but just around the edges of the spare tire cover.

Didn't even think of looking at '60s.... But, too late now. I went out and bought the stuff to make them out of polished aluminum instead, haha!

I have actually! Started it awhile back, for all my car happenings. I fall behind in updating it, but there should be a update once the back project is closer to completion. I'll grab a link to it when I can...

Here it is, albeit it needs some serious updating. It's not the greatest thing on the web, so please excuse some blatant errors :P

I had trouble using the newer style of blogger, the style you are using. It left a lot to be desired when it came to customizing in my opinion. I may go back to it eventually, but for now, the older style works.

                              Here are a few from a '61 I owned...

Even though it doesn't look like they had them stock, I like the idea. I did them on the Kart Hauler...

I used stainless steel strips that were made for the rub rail on a boat. West Marine. I don't think aluminum will last too well if you plan on actually putting stuff in the cargo area.
