  • Eye Candy for 12/10/11: 59 Lark wagon

York 2010 again. What a sweetheart this one was. Owned (iirc) by the nephew of the original owner. I would looooove to obtain one of these...

(Early a day again because I may be working most of tomorrow--a good thing!--and may not have time to go online.)

That IS sweet! It appears to be a Regal, and might even be a Lark VIII.

You do see a lot of Deluxes with the Grill Moulding, and Chrome headlight Rings that never used to cost much to change, so I can't be sure until I see the Interior, there is a REALLY BIG difference there.

      Rich--

It is indeed a V8 car...here's a rear view from the 2011 York meet with the "VIII" plainly visible.

Even though that shade of green is not my favorite, I like this wagon. That is one straight car.

I'm partial to the '59 & '60 Larks and I love those 2 door wagons. This one is particularly nice. I plan on going to York next March.

Looks as though it just came off the showroom floor! I wish they had continued to make the Regal 2 door wagon in 60. It may have taken away "some" sales of the new 4 door wagon but I'm sure would have added numbers to the total. Then too if things had improved a 2 door wagon with bucket seats, console & floor shift would have been spectacular!
