    57's were mounted in the trunk. 58's were mounted under the dash.

    Nope.. It wasn't an "all new" model. The '58 Starlight hardtop was merely the standard, production sedan body with a special roof and doors. The AC was the same unit as available on other sedans.

    Looking for some help regarding this 1 year model as well as the companion Packard. Since this was a totally new model, it would be logical to think Studebaker/Packard made accomodations in the dash for a fully integrated A/C system. Can't find anything to confirm or deny that, can anyone help? Thanks
