I've got an altered wheelbase slot car packed away (i think the attic) i cant find it anywhere in the house. was very fast for it's class, with a 12 motor. It was in the 10s, 10:40s i think.

The Miss Deal and Double Whammy kits have been around for many years. The Miss Deal was unavailable for years and the kits were pulling some serious money before they were reissued. I wanted one for years and finally got a reissue.
The Double Whammy is just one box version of the 1953 Studebaker kit that has been a best seller for years. I have a bunch of these kits in the various issues. The chopped version was originally a Bonneville car, but with new tires it was also marketed as a drag car. Same kit.

I was not trying to advertise these, or sell them. I just love the gasser thread and saw these while looking at other Stude stuff on ebay. May have to look at that DW kit on SI for $15.

Did someone say 'gassers'? Here are a couple from my collection~

They are smaller then the AMT models, 1/43 scale I believe,
but they're already built and they come in their own case!!!
