Jerry: SO WHAT! I put 700 miles on my Ford pickup this weekend.

I only took two pictures with my phone. Didn't take the camera.

Jerry, I've always loved that rake - looks like a '60s custom, for sure! But yeah, the liftover into the trunk... maybe a bit tall

Jerry, you know that some of your north Georgia neighbors would say it is perfect...only thing missing is about 20 t0 25 gallon jars of moonshine in the trunk.

Might have something to do with those 31" tall meats I have under the ass end.

Well...you could always weld on an I beam DOT guard like tractor trailers use.

Actually, it is hard to keep one of these cars from looking good no matter how it is oriented. (However, yours is a bit high.)

No scenic backdrop stuff. This'll have to do today.

Tex, I looked for you all day. As a matter of fact, I looked for you the last three weekends, Lineville, Perry, then Moultrie. Are you ever going to come out of hiding?

For many years now...I have said that, "you know you've had a good time when your Studebaker arrives back in your own driveway...under it's own power!"

Kinda like one of my horse riding days when the real joy was getting back to the barn...and I'm the one on top! (sorry to say that was not always the case)

Thanks for sharing the story, it encourages the rest of us to attempt the same. If the weather is nice on Thanksgiving, I will drive one of mine to the family reunion.

I put about 300 on the GT going the other way, but I had 2 grandaughters and Grandma with me. I hated to miss Moultrie, but we had a club meeting in Americus the same day. We are going to try not to let that happen again.

PS. Also had a wire come off the Alternator. Stopped at the Piggly Wiggly on the way home and had to be jumped off.

I bet that was fun, and worth the trouble. 500 miles is a full days drive most any time.
