    Neat Studebaker sponsored map of the 1893 Columbian Exhibition...

    (copy of text)
    Many Chicago mapmakers published maps of the grounds, often folding them into guidebooks or producing vest-pocket editions. Numerous exhibitors customized maps to direct fairgoers to their displays. This illustration shows Rand, McNally & Co.'s standard map of the grounds, adapted into an advertisement for the Studebaker Brothers Manufacturing Company. The reverse side of the sheet featured a map of downtown Chicago highlighting the location of Studebaker's showroom.

        I hadn't seen it before, and it was worthy of praise and comment!
        I like your website format and style...
        Sometime when I get up off my lazy Internet butt, I'll make up a website and hope it looks as good as yours..
