Turning off the headlights. All my everyday cars including my pickup turn them on and off for me. Many times have been in a restauramt and have someone come in saying the lights are on in that old car.

We had a nice '38 Stude traded in on a new '51 Ford.( I told you about the hood flying up on me one night.) We sold it to a gentleman from Odell and he seemed to enjoy it, except he had the habit of parking his car in reverse before shutting off the ignition. When he would return to the car he would pull it out of reverse before startling the engine. You know what happens when the car is equipped with the vacuum shifter. He would call the garage to send someone (me) out to fix this darn car so he could get it out of reverse. I bet I made a dozen trips uptown at noon so he could go home for lunch. I showed him each time what was the problem, but he refused to believe a kid of 16 knew what the problem was. I guess he finally figured it out.
I have other stories about the gentleman, but will save them for another time.
