  • Sunvisor Question

I have a nice pair of padded sunvisors from a '59 Lark and would like to use them in my '61 Lark. They appear to be the same basic size and shape, however the mounting brackets are different, two screws versus three.

Can the mounting rods (with brackets) be pulled out of the padded visor and the other style rods (and brackets) be put back in?

Any tricks or pointers in doing this?

You may want to apply a miniscule amount of penetrating oil on the shaft. Then, carefully wiggle the visor panel back and forth while pulling to extract it from the rod. The visor cover is vinyl covered cardboard applied over a masonite panel, to which the shaft receiver is stapled.
