    • Regarding post # 646: The red and white '57 Ford Fairlane in the front row appears to have the aftermarket (J.C. Whitney or Warshawsky) quad headlight retrofit. Purchasing this set-up allowed an owner to update (questionably) their '57 Ford to the appearance of the '58 models with quad headlights.

Hmmm: I wonder if that would have effectively worked on the '57 Studebakers?

I've never heard of or seen such a thing...a bit before my time. Anyone know more?

          • Anybody know what race track this is? I would think it is a sports car track judging by some of the cars in the crowd. The car on the banked track in the upper middle part of the picture almost looks like a Lotus 17, but my eyes may be too old to really know what it is.

Boy, that '55 has got to be the loss leader cheapie of the day!

I mean, it's a Ford dealer and there's a circa 1961 Oldsmobile on the front row, for Pete's sake, and several 1959 and 1960 cars. I'll bet that Stude was priced at $295 (or less!) just to get people to turn into the lot. BP
We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

                • 57 Ford Quad Light Conversion Kit

This is what I was referring to regarding the '57 Ford with the quad headlight conversion. (Refer to post # 646 and the red and white '57 Fairlane on the front row).

I wonder if these could have been adapted to the Studebaker fenders?

After I posted this picture I began wondering how much that '55 would have cost in those circumstances. Oh for a time machine when you need it.......
