                    • Does the girl on the roof have any legs???? I see a Skytop, but where are her legs? Is this what happens when the magician saws through the model in the box and things don't go quite right?

                            I thought the same thing, Kurt.

                            If you study the photo carefully, look to the right of the vent window division channel, inside the car. You can barely see her legs blocking the pleats in the seat back...but only barely.

                            That might go down as the dumbest promo picture ever...and besides, a Skytop wasn't even available in 1959. BP

                              Isn't that the Proving Ground clubhouse behind the Lark? It could have been a one-off install of a Golde sunroof to test the feasability of such an option, which was done for '61, of course.

                                Right, Craig; that is the Proving Ground clubhouse in the background. They indeed could have been exploring the possibility, but it would be odd to stage a promo photo like that. Perhaps they had entertained offering the Skytop earlier than 1961? BP
