Studebaker sighting

This evening 10/3 about 5:45 on a two car trailer traveling south out of Marysville, CA on highway 70 was a 53-54 Starlight. It was red with a large white diagonal stripe with a Canadian maple leaf in the stripe. It was going the opposite direction so I only got a quick glance. Anyone know the car and where it might have been going?

Perhaps it was a La Carerra car? The race is at the end of the month.
