  • What is the proper radio for the M Series truck?

    I think it is a Philco S4627. Am I correct?

    No. Sorry I can't help any more than that. Some one has a list of the radio numbers Studebaker used for the different model vehicles.

      Yes, among others that were also used. Philco S-4627 is Studebaker AC-1387. Other radios to fit 1941-46 Champions and M trucks were AC-1388, AC-1423, AC-1424. Also needed was radio adaptation kit AC-1425 with contains a bunch of ground straps and two J-bolts. M trucks also needed radio grill kit AC-1366. Instruction sheets available here...............
