  • And I thought Mercedes lights look bad on a CK...

Actually, that's not as bad as the Mercedes lights in a C/K. They wreck the car's profile completely. At least these are invisible from the side. I must say it's a neat installation; I just have to wonder why. If "square" is so great for lights, why ain't the Sun square?

This guy has succeeded in making the front end look like an early Valiant sans bumper and I never did like rectangular headlights even on my cars that came with them.

      1952 Champion Starlight since October,1971. 1962 Daytona
      since May, 2007.

Not my cup of tea either. The rest of the work on this looks really decent though. Could be a fun car.

                        Greetings, All,

Guess I am in the minority here, as I don't think he has hurt a thing. The Lark styling starts as a smoothed rectangle/brick.

Styling is a matter of personal preference. The worst thing Studebaker ever did, IMHO, is the square-headlight trim on the '64 Avanti. The round, covered headlights were an integral part of the classic face. Not so with the Lark, as the round was next to the rectangular grille.

                        thnx, jv.
