  • The Best Pics I Had the Honor of Taking Today!

We had our local car show today. Great day, great show. I will post more pics later, but I couldn't wait to share these with you.

As you know, our friends Carl and Betty Purdy have had some hard times of late. The docs said Betty would never walk again... I won't say she didn't get the memo, 'cause she did. But, she ignored it, and has been going to Stude meets and car shows for a while now. Every time I turned around today, there was Betty, walking around, taking it all in.

Here are the real winners of our show today, IMHO:

Welcome back to the show circuit, Purdys!!

Amen and amen! Preach it, brother Dave!
It's great to see Betty out in the sun, and a smile on Carl's face!
What a blessing on them, for they are a blessing on those of us who know them!
    Praise God!

Now, the rest of the story.

We had 190 cars registered, and I was responsible for picking the Best Mopar award. Man, what a tough class, there was not a slouch in the bunch!

Here is the one that got my pick:

Out of all of these, no less than 4 would have been a legitimate pick.

The rest of the "worthy" Mopars are pictured on the link below, so you can see what I was up against.

Also linked below are pictures of the Studes, Packard, and some of my favorites from the show today. I don't understand how Photo Bucket chooses to arrange the pics, there seems to be little order to them, if any, even though I attempted to place them in order. I also apologize for the lack of quality/folks blocking the cars, etc. I was trying to drive a golf cart, judge, and take pics of what I thought might interest you, all at the same time..

      Hope you enjoy:

Thank you for posting the pictures. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Carl or Betty one day. Great to see you out and about. Here's to your continued recovery Betty.

I was pleased to see Betty in Branson at the Orphan Car show two weeks ago too. Carl and Betty are nice folks.

Thanks Dave for the pictures. A little late. I guess I missed seeing it posted on the 24th of September. I got a e-mail from studeblu saying she saw our picture on the forum. Betty enjoyed herself.

              My pleasure, Carl!

Betty not only enjoyed herself, but she was a blessing to the rest of us. Thanks for sharing!
