Yes it is a 51! And yes I had planned to sell the whole tail for a Car-B-Q. But the wife said don't waste the time! save the trunk lid and dispose of the rest.
The rear section is very sound. great trunk floor and spare tire well. And the rear sheet metal is not so bad at all. The rear fenders are rusted out at the front side as per usual, but the are fairly solid for the most part. A friend wants me to plasma the off so he can use the curves for metal art ( he makes grape leaves) Guess it is all about the time?????? I have to think about everything in time when I am paying someone to do the work! No time to do everything around here myself!!!

Well, Brian, if you do decide to part it out, I'd be interested in the rear fenders, the trunk floor, and the rear valance panel, if present.
Rocker panels, too!
