  • Modified the Starlight

I replaced the 4 factory shocks with new gas shocks. I felt a certain kinship with the last guy on the assembly line that installed the ones on the line.

I had "one" of these on my Lark, I felt the same way just didn't seem right to just throw it away.

        Now THAT is cool! [8D]
I'd like to stick that up on the shelf.

I guess I'll pull them out of the trash then and give them to the new owner. BTW, low mileage or not,the shocks were pretty tired after 50 years, can't wait for another test ride.

Change your shocks every 50 years?

I wire brushed the paint off to better see the numbers, maybe I'll paint them and put them on ebay. (Kidding)

Hey JP, there's actually a guy selling an old factory shock on eBay right now!

                            http://tinyurl.com/2ckvs5

I guess if you're just going to trailer your car to meets in search of that "perfect-point" win, you might repaint them and install them. (But I wouldn't.)
