Man.. I feel worse for Scottie than I do his Transtar. Is he alright?

Darn nice truck, too. Not too many one tons with a 5 speed overdrive.

He's banged up pretty good , but is mobile. He had a passenger and that guy hit the windshield hard.
Scottie has hurt knees and contusions , and some broken ribs.
A car made a left turn in front of them. That guy is still in a coma. This happened over a week ago.

Oboy that is sad. But I have to ask did he run into something or did someone run into him? What kind of brakes are on the truck stock or? I do have a 56 grill only no turn siginals its bent some but nothing like that it cost me 40 bucks you can have it for that + shipping if you want.

He's not sure what will happen with the truck yet. Waiting on the insurance people etc.
The guy that caused the wreck is not well insured etc., and still in a coma.

The last Stude that Scottie wrecked (to my knowledge) was the '53. Will the Transtar end up as a drag car with no roof, too?

Send Scottie my best wishes of getting well soon. From myself and the Thorntons, too.

He is not a forum member. He is a long time Stude guy , and Snap On dealer here in the Daytona area.
This truck was being used in his business , altho not the day of the wreck, i think.
He is not very computer oriented.

Not on the forum, he's a cool old guy from the Daytona Beach area that I've known as long as I can remember.

Here's one of his other Studes. This one was flipped while making a run down the drag strip. My granddad torched off a roof of a Hawk, Scottie made a mold from it and this '53 has a removable fiberglass roof. Big Block Chevy powered and quite fast. I can personally tell you that it's impossible to have a conversation in this car while it's running.

That '56 one ton looks like one that was for sale in Alabama a few years back. Sorry to hear (and see) this.

Gosh, I wonder what would happen if that '53 got mated with Sheba? Ah, I'm just dreamin'.

There is a Pic, I believe the 22nd. one on shifter4's # 9 Post, the second Flicker site that a Forum member in Australia would be interested to see, it's called "Armstrong5001962L" it is a '61 Lark with the same "double fin' paint scheme as his, there is also a '62 Lark in the race. Cool Pic!

OPPS, he just changed the link so it does not work to that cool site 3 min. ago, while I was typing!
Can you bring em back Bill? Those were really neat old Pics.

I hope here is a picture of the windshield in the truck wreck. If its there , then I will post the Larks again .
