  • Soft trim stuff @ SASCO- - Do you Have ??

OK-here's my dilemma. I just bought a new Studebaker and I'd like to replace the seat covers with NOS. I know SASCO has a lot of stuff, but is, or has been reluctant, to search the piles and stacks of stuff they have...I also know that they bring out a bunch of stuff for the South Bend Meet(s) and you can pick & pay. Can anyone help me ? Perhaps you can get inside ? Perhaps you could "pick" for me in June ? I'd appreciate it.....Maybe someone has NOS seat covers for a 63' Cruiser in Rose Mist with the "Purplish Interior" not red ?? Jack

Jack; that would depend on if you have the solid bench seat, individual split back & bottom, split backs only bench, or optional bucket seats![:0]

Jack, I think the color you're wanting is "Chestnut", since it seems the be the one that came with any Rose Mist car!

Honestly, the original seats are covered with a replacement neutral beige. This car has the solid bench seat and the armrest out back. The door panels are purple and mauve/pink....very feminine <G>. The interior is definitely not "Red" as I've seen inside some Rose Mist cars. I'm not a stickler on seat type...meaning, if I could find the correct seat trim, I think I could then find the seats. I'd think the bench covers would be the most likely available trim stock. Of course if someone has what I need now in-house, I'd be glad to talk.

Do you have the build sheet? What does it say? Interior color code should be the cryptic series of two-letter codes on the 2nd line.

They do not have Rose mist ( Chestnut )set of covers. I was able to find a set in red for my 63 Daytona, but it took a few hours. The inventory upstairs is not well organized, you could spent a few 8 hour days looking, and that's now how I want to spend my time at the International.

I got a Chestnut set for my '63 Cruiser from Rene at Phantom. They were NOS. I think he bought much of the SASCO upholstery before the move.
