  • 1955 stude 259 lark engine with stubborn block oil plug

    Trying to remove the 3/16 head plug in the block. removed the inside transmission inspection plate. 50 years has worked it's hell. tried small wrenches and triec vice grip. Still stuborb. Help!

    most pipe threads in engines can be loosened by striking them with a hammer a few times then turning.

      Problem sollved. Bought a 3/16 allen wrench on a 3/8 socket and done. Idle pressure 40 LBS.
