  • Strange GT hawk

Here's a 1962 hawk for sale, needing total restoration, but it has "Avanti Powered" badges on the sides and the fan shroud does look it was meant to go with a supercharger. Does this look like it could've been a car that had an Avanti motor put in it at some point? The guy's price is totally ridiculous, but the car is intriguing. It is a partial flow motor, but maybe someone did have a supercharger on it at one point.

I doubt if it was a factory set-up...at least the badges...since the car in question is a '62 and the Avanti wasn't introduced until 1963.

There is no "supercharged" fan shroud, it's no different than the standard one.

There's a freakin' VINE growing between the seats. Wonder what the floors on that baby look like?[}]

Mark, I think, if you enlarge the thumbnail of the passenger
side, you might be able to see that the vines are growing
through some "rust out" areas in that door....looks like a
couple of big holes there, or big enough for that vine to
                grow through.

I wonder how this guy sets his prices. He also has this 53 Champion Starliner, that still needs a lot of work, but is in much better condition than the 62 Hawk and he wants $6,450.00 for it.
