    Pop Quiz for true Studebaker Detectives

    Oh, no; not another Pop Quiz in one week! Well, it is Friday, the 13th, so anything is liable to happen.

    The first person to post the correct answer will receive two NOS, unused Studebaker Corporation "Red Ball" envelopes:

    1. Look at this picture, published earlier here on the forum:

    2. Now, look at the photograph inside the front cover of the May 2011 Turning Wheels.

    What non-Studebaker accessory graces both cars?

    First correct poster wins two envelopes. (Previous Pop Quiz winners, please allow others to answer first.) BP

            Not that I know of. It was picked up and forwarded to me by Pure Stock Muscle Car Drag Race announcer Diego Rosenberg, so I don't know any more about it. BP

                  Anybody know what those covers are called? I don't; could they be "cat's eye?" (Seriously, anyone know for sure? I believe they were more popular in the 50s than the 60s and later. Ted Harbit also had them on his earlier stocker, Teacher's Pet, the subject of our previous Pop Quiz this week.) BP

                          Those headlight splitters were developed and became popular in 1958 when most cars went to dual headlights. It was an attempt by those with older cars to make their cars look up to date.
