On this day the last Studebaker rolled off the Ontario Assembly line. A blue and white 1966 Cruiser marked the end of 114 years of Studebaker vehicle production.

Being St Patrick's day I went into Melbourne & had a nice Guinness ale at Bridie O'Reilly's Irish Pub. A nice way to remember that last Canadian Studebaker.

LOL. Don't hear much about Studes in Irland. Any SDC members there?

Wow...I was not aware of this fact...at least not conciously. I am sure I have heard it before, but I did not think of it today. Odd, as I was getting ready for the drive to work, it seemed my Lark was begging me to drive it today...which I did. She must have known that today was a big day in Studebaker history, and wanted to go out and about in rememberance, as if to say "Hey! We are still here! Ya just gotta look for us!" Since it was 45 years ago today that the last Studebaker rolled off the line, it seems fitting.
