I believe that the wood handle is being used to protect the threads for the knock-off wheels.
    Nice PAIR of cars!

Interesting that they used the jack and hammer to hold up the passenger side but have a guy lifting up the drivers side by the gullwing door.

That's an interesting photo. The fellas may not of put much concern into the safety of the guy laying on the ground, but at least he is laying on a soft blankee. I've never seen a floor jack used on a lawn before, they should have installed turf tires on it prior to implementing it for this operation.

Good rake geometry, Bob mused, casually lighting a cigarette. But certainly not great rake geometry.

If you look at the right arm under the car you will see a jack stand, and at his right arm the 2nd jack stand.

Right you are, I think the floor jack and bottle jack on the other side are holding up the swing axles only. Perhaps they are changing or adjusting shocks or springs.

A jack stand. On grass. Good plan.

No jacks are necessary here. The car is trying to fly away.
These men are all busy trying to hold it on the ground.

                            Yeah...but it's a dry grass.
