Tag identifies what?

Found on my 57 Hawk tailshaft. Identifies what?

It has an R10 overdrive on it.

The cast in 'tag' is probably some sort of date code, representing when the o/d housing was cast in the foundry.

ident on the tranny .....

Right side near the Fill Plug, if it is from a V-8, it will say T-86 or T-96 6 Cyl.
