  • . Vintage Candy . ( Xmas Candy )

Oh Wow : A beautiful scenic shot of Austin Texas . And a clear calm day it is , O wait ! Is that a Studebaker i see down there ? Could that be a sexy lady out for a cruize or possibly two thugs just robbed a bank and are trying too outrun the police ? . I guess we will never know . . . . One can only wonder . . . Merry X- Mas all . . . . . .
Yeah ; I know theres no snow . ( rolling eyes smiley here ) .

East Avenue looking south past Brackenridge Hospital. Perhaps about 1950?

And you can see several of the Moonlight Towers (of 31 original I believe) that were scattered around the town. What a wonderful town to walk around on a spring night !

Aren't those moonlight towers now historical sites?

        Yes.

http://www.texasescapes.com/AustinTe...stin-Texas.htm gives a succinct account of the towers.

Googling Moonlight Towers Austin will yield a number of sites about the towers over the years.

Is that a 50 Commander convertible down on the street?
