Yes, Brad, I did take her advice. She was distraught to hear that I got there late tho!

Amongst the thing I got was a bunch of '56 sedan sheet metal - some of which hotwheels63r2 was asking for. I sure hope he wants it!

My wife, Cathy, and I both had Studebakers, and only Studebakers, when we met. We will be married 44 years in June. It sure helps to have a spouse that supports your interests.

The Gold Mylar was used only on the Packard Hawks, not the Golden Hawks. (That I've seen)

That's a beautiful color. Some friends of mine in Atlanta have a sweet '58 Golden Hawk in that color. It's the prettiest GH I've seen, IMO. And this is one of those "looks better in person" kind of cars. [8D] (And drives as nice as it looks. )

Frank, ask Kurt - we were about to leave the CA Stude auction and there was a project Hawk sitting by the door of the barn (it had sold earlier). I tapped the mouldings with my finger to bring them to Kurt's attention and said: "Have you noticed the thread on the forum where this fella in Maine is looking for side mouldings? Heh - here they are!"

BTW - pretty pair you have there! Wife #1 couldn't have cared less about "stupid ol' cars". Wife #2 encouraged me to go to the auction yesterday and "buy something".
