  • Wife Wants A luggage Rack

Does anybody have a rack for a 56 wagon? Or know of any that will fit. Dosen't have to be stock but look nice. She has the color scheme figured out but it is not like Studebaker made it. She wants dark green on top sea foam in the middle and dark green on the bottom with luggage rack. And power seat. She is good at recipes.

I think the one on my '57 Parkview is a mid-60s Ford item...

It's not the best picture I have of the car, but it is the best one I have that shows the rack.

Well Dave, the reinforcing straps are running the wrong way for a Stude. Still, the rack looks a lot like the one on my Larks (63-64). Nice looking wagon![8D]

I have an aftermarket rack you can have for the cost of shipping Carl.

Here's the best way to get her that luggage rack... Find another Studebaker (any kind) with a rack on it, or stuffed in the rear seat or trunk from another Mark for that matter, and tell her the only way to get the rack is to buy another Studebaker. It could work!

Hey Studeclunker. Do you have a picture of one similar. Have to let the head mechanic [wife] see what it looks like. I just might take you up on the deal.

IMHO, it should be THE LAW that wagons have a roof rack. They all look so cool with one .

I put one from a 70's 80's Volvo wagon on my '62 Lark. The bone yards are chuck full of them dirt cheap and they look good on a Stude for sure...

Told the better half I'd be sure to leave the roof racks on the wagons so every time she drove one folks could compliment her on what a nice rack she has! I believe she agreed- that IS what rolling the eyes means, right?
