  • Seeking owner of bitchin' beautiful "S2D" Starline

    Dear forum!

I have found some very nice Studebaker - related pictures/ photos on the internet. The photos are placed by someone who calls himself ddstnkmp( if I remember it correctly ). This person has also got pictures of his very nice Black 1953( or '54..?) Starliner on the "net". the person refers to his car as "S2D".
This person that I'm seeking seems to be an active caracter in the Studebaker society. His friends( well, I think they are his friends ) have got a red '53/'54 convertible( custom ) and a Blown "pro street" '53 Studebaker. - And maybe even a racing green matallic colored '54 Starliner.
They have all been to Spokane car meet, by the way...

If anyone knows who "ddstnkmp" or any of the other persons i refer to above are, please help me get in contact with them. I would really, REALLY appreciate it! I am in the process of starting a Starliner project of my own, and feel that I could really benefit from a "chat" with this guy(/ these guys).
Besides, I would really like to give "ddstnkmp" credit for all the work he has done, putting all those nice, cool etc pictures on the internet for all of us to enjoy! :-)

    Yours sincerely
    Ralph from Norway, Northern Europe.

I think it likely that Dick Steinkamp will respond to your post as it's his car you like.

The black '54 Starliner is Dick Steinkamp, very active on this forum and an all around Stude goodguy. The '53 Convertible is mine, and the green '53 pro-street would be Bob Wooldridge of Trout Lake, Washington. 'Don't know about the other green '53.

Damn, I knew the car was a legend here in the states, but I didn't know it was an international star! (well deserved though ).

I think the other green '53 is Denny Lockman's (green53 here) beautiful Starliner.

Thanks, gyus! Really appreciate the info.
I'll check my e-mail when I get home from work, Dick.

The Studebaker society in Norway is not that big, and especially if one is looking to modify/ "rod" an old Stude, the best place to look for a Norwegian enthusiast seem to be the USA and the internet.

Thanks again, folks! Seems to be a good forum, this! :-)
