  • 63 Lark Cruiser Colours

Hi everyone, I'm about to paint my 63 Lark Cruiser (and complete it's slow and stalled restoration!) and I am having difficulty in choosing a colour. Do any of you good people have any photo's or suggestions as to "what looks good" for the 63?

This will sound like a politician, but, I'll pass on the advice I was given. In order to maintain the best value use the color chart offered for 1963. Beyond that, pick a color you like. As someone who is also restoring a 4door Lark type. We will be/are spending more than we will ever get back anytime soon. I found a website that publishes the chips and will attach it. http://www.tcpglobal.com/aclchip.asp...baker-pg02.jpg Hope this helps.

If you go to DuPont Auto paint they have color charts for many old cars - all you do is type in Car - Studebaker - 1963 and the color chart will appear. Best to paint it the original color I feel but as they say - It's your car do as you will.

Rose Mist. For some reason, I always liked Rose Mist on the 63's.

another nice 63 summer color that came out was seaspray green. Bill brown has a 63 cruiser this color and it sure makes a nice car.

The best looking '63 Cruisers I've seen have been black, like a classic limousine.

I had a 63 Lark Custom, not a Cruiser. It was originally white. I liked the BMW Atlantic blue so I picked that color. I sold it before I painted it, but the buyer painted it that color. Studebaker had a similar metallic blue in 63.

Below is what it looked like before.
