Welcome to the forum Tim. Wagonaire tailgates are getting harder to find in nice shape. How bad is your tailgate? It also might help to mention your location.

I have some distant Van Meter relatives in the Upper Midwest.

Thanks Nick. I am not too optimistic that one will surface but is worth a try. I am hoping the guy that is restoring my car will repair the rust areas around the hinges. It is in pretty good shape otherwise. I live in Tulsa Oklahoma. I know there are a lot ov VanMeters in the midwest but as far as I know I dont have any family there.
