Can someone advise the correct location for 'Avanti' type mirrors on a 64 GT..

I see them 'above' and 'below' the door trim, and in several 'forward' positions, some clear the side vent window, others not so much..

Where they factory or dealer installed, or both, and that accounts for the various positions ?..

    Thanks

Dealer installed, put them where they work best, but the passenger side won't work well.

FYI, I bought one of the convex replacement mirror heads from SI for my passenger door Stratoline, and it works great. Took a completely non-functional mirror and made it work as it should.
