  • What do you suppose this would fit?

This automatic choke appears to be new. The box looks pretty rough but still intact. Any suggestions as to what it would fit would be appreciated. The writing on the box: #00164? and 170064SU

Somewhere in my stash, I have several of the automatic choke kits. I always thought that they seemed pretty generic and would likely interchange across many brands as long as the carb manufacturer was the same. Of course, it is always best to match the part number to the application. Even if you managed to cobble the kit onto an application that didn't match the intended car, the thermal spring rate could be different and drive you nuts trying to adjust it.
