  • 63 Lark HT - Ready for some drivin'!

Well, after two-plus years, I am ready to start driving my Lark. I spent this spring and summer getting the floor, carpet and seats redone. Even though is was a Cali car, I had to replace a section on the passenger floor pan. It looked like the carpet had spent a long time being wet and it rusted from the top down.

The interior is custom - door panels made by myself, colors for the seats are non-stock, and I made the small console under the dash. The red part flips up and I have an aftermarket stereo there.

It still needs some adjustments (of course), but it is now ready to go on some shake-down drives. I hope to drive it to the Summit show a month from now - my dad and I have a plan to have our three Studes there.

Here are some pics I took today. Larger ones in the hyperlinks.

Very nice work George! That's one of sharpest Larks I've ever seen.

Nice George, even a Cruiser back seat to fluff it up a bit, I like it!

That splash of Red everywhere adds some color to it.

Your CASO black bumpers don't hurt a bit, either.

Thanks for all of the comments :-) Of course, the photos hide SOOO many flaws and things that need work. The paint is quite poor - Lark Shine would probably work on some of it - but certainly not all of it. That will be the next major project. The clutch and flywheel are kind of chattery on starting to roll and it feels like the 2nd gear syncro is out. So it's definitely not perfect ;-) I hope to get it out and about during the summers.

I envy thee! That interior would fit great in mine! I love the color scheme! (and the fact that is it a two door stick makes it even better!) Great job on that interior!

I've sold that color combination seat cover before, and before seeing it, I thought it would be strange, but it's nice.

                      George

Really, really nicely done. I like it a lot. I also like your choice of wheels (Possibly Mustang). Fits the theme well.

Yeah, what did you have to do to adapt those wheels to your car?
