    Love those '52 hardtops.

Those are beautiful cars. I'm always amazed how similar those tops are to the Chevies of that era.

To me, that was always one of the best looking Studebakers ever. Beautiful lines.

It's funny... back in 1988 when I bought my first Studebaker, the ones I liked least were the '52s and '61 Larks. Time has a way of changing appreciation for things like cars, women ect and now I love those '52 hardtops! There was a stunning one at the Asheville meet last year I would be proud to own. I've seen some '61 Larks I'd buy in a heartbeart, too. I guess part of the reason is they are unique, even among Studebakers. Russ Farris

I hope I love my hawk as much as I have anticipated since 1965! Hope to have it finished next year.

                        Question for all,
If you had a 52 hard top, planned to paint it black on bottom and white on top and could not (or didn't want to) afford to re chrome the beltline.
What color do you paint it?

                        Dean.

Hi Dean - I bet you know my opinion because I've already done it. I'll keep quiet, because I'm interested in the group thoughts on the topic.
