Any idea on A/C age?

I was trying to find out some info on the underdash A/C unit in my Hawk, I know it's a Frigiking, but that's about it. It has vertical sliders, one for fan speed on the drivers side, passenger side is the temp switch, has a position marked "city" at the bottom..any ideas?

Looks like your typical late sixties to seventies after-market unit. I really like how it's been painted red to match the car's interior. A nice touch, that.

I had a similar unit in my '63 Daytona Wagonaire, except that it was a Ward's Signature. My Mum had one, from Sears, installed in her '73 Pinto. It looked very much like yours also.

I believe that red color is a reflection in the chrome. I suspect its closer to mid-sixties in age.
