Factory photo from 1950. The driver is Alvo E. Albini who was in charge of export advertising and from whom I received the photo. I have no further information about the car.

Except for the rear fenders being black, that color combination looks very similar to the '60's Alberta Highway services trucks. They were a yellow color (though a bit darker, like a school bus-yellow), with the front fenders being black.

However, I wonder if its THIS one!! -------> http://forum.studebakerdriversclub.c...Business-Coupe

That was the BK/BK, wasn't it, Richard? (Bee-Keepers Business Koupe) BP
We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

          Ayn Rand:
"You can avoid reality, but you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding reality."

          G. K. Chesterton: This triangle of truisms, of father, mother, and child, cannot be destroyed; it can only destroy those civilizations which disregard it.

I'd smile, too! I like the red rims... seems he was ahead of his time.

You have to admit that is an odd looking little car. Would be an attention getter at a current show.

I found an ad from a 54 newspaper that said that any color combination that is not an option can be ordered (takes an extra 3 weeks), which is why I have seen an original pink 53.

Wow, that is an interesting vintage pic. Being that it was a business coupe, I could see why someone may have wanted a unique color combo to promote whatever business they had...
