    Wow, that is an interesting vintage pic. Being that it was a business coupe, I could see why someone may have wanted a unique color combo to promote whatever business they had...

    I found an ad from a 54 newspaper that said that any color combination that is not an option can be ordered (takes an extra 3 weeks), which is why I have seen an original pink 53.

    looks like the color scheme on fla.state h/p cars,except i think they use brown now.or is this where honda got the idea for the element???

    Except for the rear fenders being black, that color combination looks very similar to the '60's Alberta Highway services trucks. They were a yellow color (though a bit darker, like a school bus-yellow), with the front fenders being black.

    Factory photo from 1950. The driver is Alvo E. Albini who was in charge of export advertising and from whom I received the photo. I have no further information about the car.
