  • 62 daytona colors

I'm getting around to finsihing my 62 daytona 2dr ht, and unsure of what color I want to paint it. The car originally was an aweful light blue, but was repainted white early in it's life. I may go with white but I'm not sure. Any suggestions on what colors look good on the 62 2dr ht body?

    Thanks
    KF

A color that YOU like, Kent. You're gonna be the one to drive it - that is, unless you're doing it up to sell. Then - RED.

For me it would be a toss-up between black or red. Ermine White looks very classy on those cars too. It depends a lot on interior color. It's probably blue? If you are not changing it, the white exterior would harmonize well.

I like black, but after having two black cars, never again. Metallic Silver was a color offered than year, and I've thought about using a similar color on my '64.

NO [referring to your '62](of course fleet sales could get the colors that they wanted - not likely done on a Daytona hardtop).

Black cars here in the central California valley, are cause for many skin grafts during the summer months![xx(] I can't believe they manage to sell them in this area even tho the dust from the farming in the valley can make itself noticed within minutes of a washing. Then there's the fact that the A/C has to work doubly hard to negate the effects of the sun on all that black surface![8]

Yeah - go ahead and reach for that door handle![}]
