  • '57 Packard Wagon

[)]Remember the '57 Packard Station Wagon that was being discussed on our pages here a few days ago? It had been bought by a rodder and was apparently headed to the chopping block. The guy says he'll sell it. He wants $5500 for it. I have his email address and phone # in case anyone nearby would like to try to save it.[)]

Rich, that doesn't mean someone will pay that. He got that car for $1800 for a reason.

The guy says his young daughter got bit by a rattlesnake and that's why he's selling the Packard.[)] No joke!
I'd sure wanna see the car itself or LOTS BETTER photos of it before I jumped on it! And I ain't even interested in it.[^]

I'm sympathetic to the fellow's claimed dilema. If what he claims is true, my heart goes out to him. Also, I feel he's due a finder's fee, or profit. Still, four times what he paid for the car and not having put a single thing into the car leaves me cold. Greed is still greed.[V] This is a rough, unrestored car. Doubtless it needs everything (we know it needs a booster). So the price is a bit out of line. I'd tender an offer of 3k if I had it. Sadly, I don't.[V]
