  • Perfect home for the 55 coupe

My winning bidder was nice enough to ask how I'd feel about his purpose in buying the car. He wants to drop in a Ford flathead with a 3:71 blower to run on the salt. I told him I thought he had the perfect car since the car had a mouse motor now and that ugly front end, the wrong interior and missing all the President trim. I'll come up with some beater grill parts that he can paint to stay in the stock body class.
I invited him to drop in here, hope to see him.

This is a good explainion of why he's doing it:

"Yep. He'll probably run in "altered" or "Comp Coupe". With the Ford
flatheat it would be an XF engine class and of course blown. Also the
body is considered classic (prior to 1982 I believe). His classes would
look something like XF/CBAlt or XF/CBCC. Add an "F" to the mix if
running fuel and not straight gasoline.
We had a fellow at Maxton run a Nissan 240ZX with a Flat Head Ford
motor out of an old sprint car he laying around. Ran in Comp Coupe I
      believe."
